Diablo 4 Season 9 Overview: What to Expect from Sins of the Horadrim
As Diablo 4’s ninth season, Sins of the Horadrim, approaches, players are eager to understand which classes will dominate the new meta. While the season does not drastically overhaul class balancing, several builds have emerged as frontrunners based on the Public Test Realm (PTR) data. Among these, the Flay Barbarian, Hydra Sorcerer, and Poison Volley Spiritborn stand out as the strongest contenders, though some may see adjustments before the official release Diablo 4 Items.

The Flay Barbarian currently tops the charts due to the powerful synergy with the new Hooves of the Mountain God item. This item is bugged on the PTR, allowing the Barbarian to deal negative damage that results in one-shot kills, enabling clears beyond Pit level 100. However, this exploit is expected to be fixed, likely dropping the build from S-tier to B-tier status.

Following closely is the Hydra Sorcerer, which benefits from the Ophidian Iris item, summoning a three-headed hydra that deals splash damage and grows stronger with additional heads. Despite a bug allowing double-dipping with the Shatter skill, even a fix would leave this build highly competitive, excelling in speed clears and boss fights on Torment 4 difficulty.

Rounding out the top tier is the Poison Volley Spiritborn, boosted by Balazan’s Maxtlatl, enhancing Thorns scaling and Poison synergy. This build is notably tanky and mobile, ideal for rapid clears. Like the other top builds, it currently benefits from a double-dipping bug involving Jaguar Spirit Hall powers, which may be addressed before launch.

Overall, Season 9 promises a mix of familiar powerhouses and new synergies, with some builds potentially rebalanced to ensure competitive fairness buy gold diablo 4.
